Dispute Resolution
The European Union has created a website to support consumers in submitting complaints related to any disputes they may be involved in. In this context, RConstruções provides all the necessary information to help you exercise your right to file a complaint with an official, third-party, and impartial entity in the process. Therefore, if you were not satisfied with the purchase of a product or service on our website, or with the solution we presented to resolve the issue, you can access this official site and submit your complaint.
What is Alternative Dispute Resolution?
Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) is an option available to all consumers, allowing them to seek assistance from official entities in resolving or guiding a conflict before taking the case to court.
Typically, the procedure works as follows: the consumer requests the intervention of an impartial third party to act as a mediator between them and the trader in question. The mediator may suggest a solution to the complaint, impose a solution on both parties, or bring them together to reach an agreement.
You may know the concept of Alternative Dispute Resolution under other names: “mediation,” “conciliation,” “arbitration,” or “competent consumer dispute commission.”
Alternative Dispute Resolution is generally less expensive, less formal, and faster than judicial proceedings.
